Barton County is located along U.S. Highway 71 which is designated to become Interstate 49 by 2012. Interstate 44 which is a major transportation corridor for the United States is located 40 miles south. We are approximately 150 miles from Kansas City and 200 miles from Tulsa Oklahoma which is the home of The Port of Catoosa(The United States most inland port). Barton County also has great access to air travel and transport with three Regional and three International airports all within 150 miles. Finally our access to railways is very strong with two major carriers in Burlington Northern- Santa Fe and Union Pacific having lines located in Barton County. With access to these major transportation hubs National and International importing and exporting is quick and easy.
